Washing system combine the mechanical effects of spray impact with the chemical effects of detergents and temperature to assist the removal of contaminants by water. Cross-contamination between loads needs to be minimised, the final dryness and temperature of the load has to be closely controlled. Managing the optimal combination of these factors, and ensuring that all surfaces of complex shapes are treated leads to detailed, project-specific design.

cGMP Ultra-washers perform all the processes of conventional cGMP washers and are further able to apply a steam shower to the load and wash at elevated temperatures (both useful for bulk removal of oily or greasy contaminants). They are perform energy-efficient vacuum drying which eliminates the need to cope with the need for ducting large volumes of humid exhaust air.

The range of Washer-Autoclaves combines the capabilities of an ultra-washer with the full functionality of a saturated steam autoclave. This combined unit can offer a simple economy of capital cost and space, or even be used to provide integrated wash-sterilise cycles, rationalising product flows.

A further enhancement is the Stopper Processor, capable of washing, siliconising, sterilising, drying and cooling vial stoppers in one integrated cycle.

In all cases management is by the versatile Thema 4 controller  which meets all the specialist demands of controllers in the pharma industries.
